Credit Card Processing Software and Equipment from Breakthrough Consulting Jump Directly To PC/Mac SoftwareBreakthrough Consulting
sells industry standard Verifone Zon Jr. Xl's, Tranz 330's, Tranz 380's, Tranz 420's and Tranz 460's, plus the Hypercom T7P, a terminal and built in printer that is better than a Tranz 420. The credit card terminals
plug into any standard phone line along with a power outlet. You can even connect the teminal to the back of your modem or fax machine. The terminals do not need a dedicated phone line. They are only active for the 8 to
10 seconds it takes to process the credit card transaction. We have included a picture of three different POS systems for you to see. The first one show what a Zon Jr. XL, or Tranz 330 or Tranz 380 looks light. The
second represents either a Tranz 420 or Tranz 460. The third is the Hypercom T7P. |

We also have a software program called POS Charge that lets you use your PC as your POS system, eliminating a separate terminal. POS Charge, a Windows based
program, lets you store a complete history on all your transactions, supports the Address Verification System, and saves your customer information in a database for future uses. We highly recommend it, as it is easy to
set up, configure and use.
If you do mail order, you MUST use Address Verification. Do NOT use a Zon XL or a Tranz 330 that is not programmed with the Address Verification System (AVS)! You risk getting your merchant account terminated if you ship to bogus addresses.
NOTE: We do offer short term leases of 24 months (not 48 months)
if you can't afford to purchase the equipment up front. Leases require good personal credit, and sales tax and insurance of $2.50 per month is charged as well. |

Zon Jr. XL The Verifone Zon Jr. XL is the workhorse of the credit card
terminal family. It handles all home based processing needs, including card swiped and keyed in transactions. The new Zons have a new processing chip that handles credit cards expiring in the year 2000, and will work
into the 21st century. Older Zons may crash on credit cards expiring in the year 2000, as the "00" expiration date is read by the terminal as expiring in the year 1900. The Zon Xl does not support Address
Verification, nor is it useful for restaurant applications or where a PIN pad is needed for debit cards.OUR PRICE: $395 or lease for $27/month for 24 months |

Tranz 330 The Tranz 330 is similar to the Zon, except that it supports the
tip capture program used by restaurants, and it has a connector for a PIN pad. If you have a retail store, you may want to consider the Tranz 330. The Tranz series also have more memory than do Zons, and are slightly
faster, but in practice there is not much of a difference in overall transaction times between the two. The Tranz 330 also reads the customer's name off of his or her credit card and prints it on the receipt if you use
the optional Printer 250. This is useful for detecting re-encoded credit cards, where a new name is written on the magnetic stripe. If it doesn't match the printed receipt, don't accept the charge. The Tranz 330 DOES
NOT do Address Verification on many processing networks. If you run a mail order or Internet based business, you are asking for your merchant account to be terminated if you use a Tranz 330 on a network that does not
have an AVS application for a Tranz 330. While the Tranz 330 will tell you if the credit card is valid, it will not tell you if the address given to you by the card holder matches the address on file with their bank. If
a sales rep offers you a Tranz 330 without AVS for a mail order business, you should not accept it. If you get a couple chargebacks due to sending to bogus addresses, you will get your account terminated, and you will
never again in your entire life be able to accept credit cards. Do not ever process mail order through anything other that our PC or MAC processing software or a terminal programmed with an AVS application. We do have a
processor that does AVS on a Tranz 330, but there is a $12 monthly statement fee with this bank. OUR PRICE: $495 or lease for $29/month for 24 months. |

Printer 250 If you have a retail business, you should either use a manual
imprinter to obtain a signed receipt from your customer, or use a receipt printer. The Printer 250 (or a similar 220) is seen in stores and restaurants everywhere. It prints a 2 copy receipt, one for you and one for
your customer. If you have a mail order business, you can send your customer a printed receipt. Usually, the receipt also contains the name, address and phone number of your business, and your merchant number. Many
customers keep their credit card receipts, and you may need your copy in case your bankcard processor requests it on behalf of a customer who doesn't remenber doing business with you.
OUR PRICE: $295 or lease for $18/mo for 24 months |

Tranz 380 The Tranz 380 is similar to the Tranz 330, except that on some
processing networks, the 380 supports the Address Verification System, while on others it doesn't. One of our recommended processors does support AVS on the 380. This is best for you if you have a retail operation, but
have some mail order business. It is also used by some advanced restaurant systems, notably the Verifone Folio system. A sister terminal, the Tranz 380X2, supports 2 separate merchant accounts on one machine. The
practical use here is if you have a business that is mostly card swiped, and one that is mostly keyed in. some bankcard processors increase your swipe rate if you have more than 30% of your transactions keyed in. By
splitting them into two separate companies, you keep all of your card swiped transactions at the absolute lowest discount rate.OUR PRICE: Tranz 380 - $595 or lease for 24 months at $39/mo. OUR PRICE:
Tranz 380X2 - $695 or lease for months at $41/month. |

Tranz 420 The Tranz 420 is a battery powered, portable terminal and printer.
It is ideal for craft shows, swap meets and flea markets, or if you plan to do in home sales and want the lower discount rate given to card swiped transactions. If you plan to take your terminal with you, you should not
use a regular plug-in terminal. It is not a good idea to be plugging and unplugging the regular terminals every time you need to take it somewhere. Power spikes can corrupt the program stored in it or damage the
terminal. The Tranz 420 also supports a PIN pad, and connects to either a regular phone line or into your cellular phone via a dial tone interface. If you plan to use the 420 with a cellular phone, be sure to use a full
3 watt system and an interface that gives you a dial tone. Many smaller phones operate at 600 milliwats, making them OK for voice communication, but terrible for data transmission, especially inside metal framed
buildings.OUR PRICE: $795 or lease for 24 months at $49 per month. |

Tranz 460 The Tranz 460 is similar to the Tranz 420, except that it is not
portable. It needs electricity. It basically is a more cost effective way to use a Tranz 330 and Printer 250, and it only ties up one outlet. In many small stores, this is a real problem. It also takes up less counter
space and does not have a connecting cable dangling between two devices. If you operate a restaurant however, some networks do not support the tip capture program on a 460. We will direct you to the appropriate
processor if you need this application. If you are running a mail order business and wish a terminal and printer along with Address Verification, you would need the Hypercom T7P instead of the Tranz 460. The price is
the same.OUR PRICE: $695 or lease for 24 months at $45 per month. |

PC Software If you have a mail order business, we
recommend using POS Charge. It lets you enter your customer's name address and sale information into your PC, then transmits it to the processing center. On some networks, you can enter all of your credit card
sales into a batch, then transmit the batch at once, saving time. It also supports the Address Verification System, which is important if you are selling over the Internet or by mail. The software also keeps long term
records of all of you credit card transactions, providing documentation on any retrevial request by your bankcard processor. POS Charge also be integrated into your web server, letting you process credit card
transactions in real time. A developer tool kit, purchased separately, is needed if you wish to integrate POS Charge into your server system. There is now a version of POS Charge for ISPs that allows for recurring
monthly billing. It fully automates the monthly billing process. The ISP version of POS Charge is $495, or $29 per month for 24 months. Mac software is also available, however the price for Mac Authorize is $475.
OUR PRICE: POS Charge. $395 or $27 per month for 24 months. |

Card Reader The magnetic card reader connects in line with your keyboard,
letting you swipe your customers' credit cards on your PC, making it a true point of sale system. All of our recommended processors give you a lower discount rate if you can swipe the credit card through a magnetic card
reader.OUR PRICE: $245. |

Address Verification System The best way to protect yourself against a
chargeback is to make sure that the address that the customer gave you is the address on file with his or her credit card bank. This is accompolished through the Address Verification System (AVS). Using AVS, when you
get a credit card approval, you also get an indication if the address the customer gave you matches. If it doesn't match, you need to find out why (or at least you should find out why) before sending out your product.
If you got an address match and get a signed delivery receipt at that address, you have a good chance of fighting any attempted chargeback by your customer. AVS is standard on our PC software and on the Tranz 330 and
Hypercom T7P. |

Existing Equipment If you already have your processing equipment, our
bankcard representatives will charge a reprogramming fee of $150 in addition to the bank application fee. This covers the time your representative needs to help you prepare your merchant application package and follow
up with it at the bank processing center. This $150 fee is reasonable and does help get you you merchant account. Remember, your equipment is useless unless you have a merchant account, and the people that we refer to
you are experienced in knowing what it takes to get your account approved promptly. |

Cybercash We are now able to offer merchants who are processing over the Internet, the
ability to use the Cybercash processing system. In order to use Cybercash, you must have a merchant account. You must be doing business on the Internet. Point of Sale Systems provides the entire Cybercash program
including the bankcard application fee for $395. The software is downloaded free from the Cybercash site. There is no additional cost for the software. On the Cybercash site you can find providers to help you install
the software. With Cybercash there is no need to have any other kind of software or processing terminal. Cybercash meets the new VISA address verification requirements. Cybercash is recommended for those businesses
that process many online transactions daily. How Cybercash works: Once you install the software and have obtained your merchant account, you are ready to accept credit cards over the Internet. The customer
completes an online order form and submits his request and credit card number for payment to your site using a Cybercash button that links the customer to the order form. Once the card is approved you are notified, and
your customer is notified via your software. The transaction is complete. At the end of the day you close the batch and send your money to the bank. In the event you are accepting cards other than over the Internet,
Cybercash lets you to process the transaction manually. |
